Welcome to the website of Don’t Panic Emergency Garage Door Repair. As the name suggests I am available for emergency service on residential garage doors and garage door openers. Located in Marietta GA, my service area is all of Metro-Atlanta Georgia. I  own and operate a 24-7-365 company.

 

I am of course available for non-emergency service as well. The prices page explains the difference between emergency and non-emergency rates and schedule times.

 

Examples of common emergency service includes broken garage door spring replacement, garage door off track, cables off drums-door wedged diagonally in opening, rollers falling out and broken cables. Even a broken or malfunctioning garage door opener can be an emergency for an elderly or disabled person who absolutely depends on their garage door opener. Emergency service is always evening or late night service by definition.

 

Non-emergency service is always scheduled during primary business hours, 8:00am to 6:00pm, seven days per week. Non-emergency service includes all the situations described above plus installation of new garage door openers, replacement of worn garage door components and installation of new garage doors. Basically any problem relating to your garage door or opener.

I called Phil, described the problem with the opener, and he immediately and correctly diagnosed what was wrong with it--over the phone--and gave me a reasonable estimate. There were no "change orders" on the job. He fixed the opener quickly and charged the agreed-upon estimate. The other two was answered by middleman but Phil who is the owner and the repair person answered the phone directly. I emailed him the photo of our broken garage and he gave me a quote immediately. Because I was in a tight budget, he agreed to come on the next available normal hours. He got our garage fixed at a reasonable price, lower than the other quotes from the other two. There are three companies that consistently go way beyond the consumer's reasonable expectations; REI, Costco, and Don't Panic Emergency Garage Door Repair. A little over a year ago I called DP to fix a broken spring on my garage door. I picked DP because of its Internet ratings and my conversation with Phil, the owner. Phil arrived on time and repaired the spring for about the same or less than what the other companies quoted (I can't recall DP's exact price at this time). During the service call he dealt with my wife whom informed me that Phil was very pleasant and very professional. This is what I would expect from any good company. However, just recently, on Labor Day no less, I had problems with the sensor in one of the garage doors so I called DP again. Phil answered the phone and though he didn't remember me from my last call well over a year ago, which I wouldn't expect him to, he was again very professional and pleasant. I explained my problem to him. Rather than jump at the opportunity to make more money off my garage door problem he offered a couple of things I could easily do on my own that might remedy the problem. I did as suggested and the garage door again worked as good as new. A company that is willing to give you free suggestions that may eliminate the need for their services, is a company well worth considering during those times when you may truly need their help. I would not hesitate to call Don't Panic Emergency Garage Door Repair for any of my garage door service needs.

I had a broken extension spring and called four garage door companies. The estimated cost given by the “Don’t Panic Garage Door” was the lowest. It is not difficult for me to make a choice after reading 10 reviews on Kudzu and Yahoo, all of which gave ‘Don’t Panic’ a five star rating. I called Phil at 11 am and he was able to come at 4:30 pm the same day. As expected, he was friendly, dependable, prompt and professional. After backing into my garage door and trying to repair it myself, I realized I needed professional help. I called at 7pm and scheduled an appointment for the next morning. Phil was great! Reasonable, Dependable, & Helpful

A torsion spring on my double door garage broke last evening. I called at 8:00AM this morning, Phil was here by 11:30AM and replaced both springs at the agreed upon price which was the lowest I found on the internet.
